About this opportunity:
The Application Development Platform (ADP) Framework is the approved way forward for developing cloud native applications within Ericsson, following a modern design pattern (microservice architecture based on containers).
We are looking for a Master Developer to join an international, cross-functional team building and operate a strategic S3-compatible storage service for Ericsson products. In this role, you will combine deep software engineering expertise with a platform mindset to solve complex technical challenges and improve the service's reliability, scalability, operability and engineering quality. Working closely with the Service Architect and the team, you will help deliver resilient, secure and observable storage capabilities used across multiple Ericsson product domains.
What you will do:
- Design, implement and maintain high-quality Go-based cloud-native services.
- Drive improvements in service reliability, scalability, observability, performance and security.
- Lead investigation and resolution of complex technical and production issues.
- Partner with the Service Architect to translate architectural direction into robust production-ready solutions.
- Contribute technical expertise during design discussions and technology evaluations.
- Drive improvements in CI/CD, test automation, operational readiness and developer productivity.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Help adopt modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development techniques and automation.
- Collaborate with other ADP teams to solve cross-component and platform-level challenges.
- Continuously improve the maintainability and operability of the service and surrounding ecosystem.
The skills you bring:
- Proven track record in building and maintaining production-grade software systems.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Go, with the ability to write clean, testable and maintainable code.
- Deep practical understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, Linux and cloud-native runtime environments.
- Solid grounding in distributed systems, reliability, scalability, observability and production operations.
- Experience applying CI/CD, automated testing and modern engineering practices in real product development.
- Technical leadership maturity, including sound judgment, pragmatic trade-offs and the ability to create clarity in complex topics.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional, international engineering environments.
- Demonstrated ability to raise engineering quality through reviews, coaching, shared practices and knowledge transfer.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience with S3-compatible storage systems such as MinIO.
- Experience with AI-native software development practices.
- Experience working on platform products or shared services consumed by multiple teams.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects or communities.
