The Administrator facilitates the execution of the trust administration life cycle process. Handles the daily administration and account maintenance of primarily non-trust accounts (agency, custody and IRA) in accordance with established policies and procedures. The is critical in providing top quality service to high-net-worth clients and works within the relationship management team, collaborating effectively and providing insights and solutions to attract, retain and grow clients who require complex strategies to protect, grow and transition personal and family wealth.
Responsibilities
- Administers primarily “non-trust” (e.g., agency, IRA and custody) accounts with a proactive, disciplined, consistent and comprehensive approach.
- Performs day-to-day functions (i.e., open accounts, close accounts, asset maintenance, process bills, cash receipts, etc.).
- Discovers, analyzes and researches account issues and recommends solutions.
- Participates in the onboarding process for new clients in partnership with the Relationship Management Team.
- Participates in pre/post call activities as necessary to explain account mechanics or other relevant impacts to the Relationship Management Team.
- Leads by example and demonstrates client focus and teamwork towards both clients and KeyBank employees; provides back-up to other team members.
- Mitigates risk by servicing accounts in compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures, as well as with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other team members throughout Key Wealth and support partners to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business-related field (preferred)
Experience Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years client support experience in trust administration or fiduciary advisory services or equivalent work experience. (required)
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (preferred)
- Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) (preferred)
- Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) (preferred)
- Progress towards completion of Cannon Trust Schools I, II and III or equivalent knowledge from other industry training. (preferred)

- Demonstrated proficiency and effectiveness in organizational skills including the ability to balance multiple requests and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner.
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients preferred. Ability to exercise discretion due to accessing and handling highly sensitive information.
- Ability to work, make decisions, and manage client relationships independently while managing competing priorities.
- Ability to learn and use proprietary software, databases and systems. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
