Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Acetylenics Area Clerk to join our Ashland LLC business at our Calvert City, Kentucky location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain accuracy of SAP Production entries communicating with staff to ensure proper workflow.
  • Audit SAP entries for discrepancies     
  • Daily investigation and correction of COGI errors, with a weekly review of same with staff   
  • Daily Reconciliation of production tracking for completeness and accuracy - working with Engineers and FLL’s to resolve any issues.    
  • Enter and escalate (business critical) Remedy tickets to address system error issues             
  • Monthly review of tank balance and Weekly material usage variance - working with staff to resolve any outstanding issues                   
  • Work with Operators to resolve SAP issues  
  • Develop, review and update training aids/work instructions for operators, FLL’s and area staff
  • Work with HR and the Training department for training/onboarding/establishing security credentials of new employees
  • Attend Safety training courses per Ashland mandates.
  • Maintain Area archive system.
  • Prepare credit card expense reports monthly.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Must be highly proficient in the use of computers:  email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP & Accounting practices
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must interact daily with various departments supporting production and operations
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task
  • Some weekends and holiday required
  • Excel experience including simple formulas (i.e. V lookup, SumIF) and pivot table functions
  • HS Graduate
  • 5 years + of administrative experience
