WTIC/WCCT, the TEGNA owned FOX affiliate in Hartford CT has an immediate full-time opening for an Administrative Assistant/Employee Engagement Coordinator. The ideal candidate will combine highly refined organizational skills along with the ability to coordinate communications with station staff. You will work closely with the station’s President & General Manger as well as the Director of Marketing, News and Sales with all administrative duties.

Responsibilities:
•    Support FOX61’s President and General Manager with managing schedules, organizing external and internal meetings (i.e., quarterly Townhalls & Coffee w/the GM), taking, and distributing notes, submitting expense reports, ordering supplies and other duties as assigned.
•    Assist the Sales department to organize and distribute any station event tickets, assist in planning and execution of station client events.
•    Work with Sales team to prepare and distribute video and print presentations and provide additional sales support as needed.
•    Assist the News department with coordinating travel and lodging for visiting job candidates and corporate guests as well as for any emergency lodging for staff.
•    Assist the News department by coordinating series guests, booking news staff to serve as event emcees (MC’s) as well as station representatives at various community events.
•    Coordinate station community events, including recruiting staff participation, working with outside vendors, and coordinating signage and other materials needed to ensure successful execution.
•    Provide EEO compliance support for the station by assisting with FCC reports, maintaining updating EEO posters and collecting new hire I-9 information.

 
Requirements:
•    BA or equivalent degree preferred.
•    1-3 years’ experience as an executive assistant or employee engagement manager/coordinator
•    Familiarity with television and programming schedules is a plus along with experience writing employee newsletters, creating PowerPoint presentations, and coordinating vendor visits.
