Role Overview:
We are looking for an Adaptive Planning Consultant with strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting solutions. This is a client-facing role where you will work closely with clients to understand their FP&A requirements and translate them into effective planning solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning, preferably with exposure to NetSuite or other ERP integrations, and the ability to support clients through implementation and/or post-implementation activities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead discussions with clients to understand their FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate Adaptive Planning solutions.
Configure and support Adaptive Planning models, planning processes, and reporting requirements.
Support financial forecasting, budgeting, planning, and reporting activities.
Work with financial data imports, mappings, dimensions, and reporting integrations.
Support integrations between Adaptive Planning and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and user training as required.
Present solutions and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Provide guidance and support during implementation and/or post-implementation activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure planning solutions align with business and financial objectives.
What You’ll Need:
3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning, FP&A planning, budgeting, or forecasting solutions.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning or comparable planning and budgeting platforms.
Ability to translate FP&A requirements into practical system solutions.
Experience working with financial data imports, mappings, dimensions, and reporting integrations.
Understanding of integrations between planning/budgeting platforms and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working directly with clients and leading discovery or requirements-gathering sessions.
What Will Set You Apart:
Experience integrating Adaptive Planning with NetSuite or other ERP platforms.
End-to-end implementation experience, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and user training.
Experience working with complex FP&A environments or multiple business entities.
Strong experience in client-facing consulting and solution recommendations.
Experience supporting Adaptive Planning implementations from initial discovery through post-go-live support.
Relevant Adaptive Planning certifications or formal training.

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, finance transformation, or related disciplines
- Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model building, reporting, dashboards, sheets, versions, and planning workflows
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management accounting principles
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system and process solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification or equivalent platform certification
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Workday Financials, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
- Experience with financial systems integrations, ETL tools, and data management processes
- Knowledge of workforce planning, sales planning, or operational planning models
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Workday Reporting
- Consulting experience supporting multiple clients, projects, or business units
- CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant finance certification
- Experience in SaaS, technology, professional services, or high-growth organizations
- Understanding of finance transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives
