About Coolway Trans
Coolway Trans is a leading Australian refrigerated transport and logistics company specialising in temperature-controlled freight across multiple states. With a strong reputation for reliability and customer service, Coolway plays a critical role in ensuring time-sensitive freight reaches customers safely and efficiently.
As part of the Finance team, you'll support the day-to-day Accounts Receivable function, helping maintain accurate financial records while working closely with Operations and Customer Service teams.
🔍 What You'll Do
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices, ensuring freight rates, fuel levies, storage charges, and surcharges are correctly applied.
- Monitor the aged debtor ledger and proactively follow up outstanding accounts via phone and email.
- Allocate customer payments and remittances accurately and in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve billing enquiries and disputed invoices in collaboration with Operations and Customer Service.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support month-end activities and finance reporting.
- Assist with credit applications, credit reviews, and customer account maintenance.
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
✅ What You'll Bring
- At least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, reconciliations, and credit control.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Xero or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

- Experience within the transport, logistics, freight, or supply chain industry.
- Knowledge of freight billing structures, including fuel levies and transport charges.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-state businesses.
