Profile Requirements:
- Minimum 4.5 years’ proven experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
- Strong background working with retail or product-based companies with high transaction volumes.
- Proficiency in standard Australian accounting/ERP software such as Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, AR processes, and reconciliation practices.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for managing client relationships.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
Core responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue balances, and implement collection strategies to minimize aged debt.
- Prepare and send statements, reminders, and follow-ups to clients in line with credit policies.
- Reconcile AR sub-ledgers with the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve customer billing disputes and queries.
- Maintain accurate customer records, credit limits, and payment histories.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly AR reports, including aging analysis and cash flow forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes in coordination with the finance team.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and accuracy.
