Purpose of the job
As part of the accounting team of Samsung Semiconductor Europe, you will contribute to our company’s overall financial compliance and operations. You will be responsible for vendor management, AP processing and payments. Within the accounting team, you will collaborate together with the local accounting teammates and our shared service center (SSC) colleagues on vendor management, AP journal postings and payment execution.
Role and Responsibilities
Vendor management
- Responsible for vendor creation and change management in Samsung Semiconductor Europe
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of incoming vendor invoices in accordance with the applicable tax and accounting regulations
- Monitor and supervise the vendor invoice postings in SAP in collaboration with our SSC team
- Serve as a point of contact for our employees regarding invoice payments, vendor creation and vendor change requests and support the team on various accounting topics
Payment and local treasury operations
- Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and execution of weekly payment runs and ad hoc payment requests
- Payment netting and bank postings in SAP
- Prepare daily and weekly bank balance reports
- Collaborate with our treasury colleagues in UK on various cash and payment related topics
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or an apprenticeship training as an accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/-in IHK) or as a tax accountant (Steuerfachangestellte)
- Previous experience in a similar role ( 1-3 years)
- Good knowledge of German GAAP and German tax regulations
- Very good command of SAP and MS Office applications
- Proven experience in a multinational corporation in a German accounting team
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task under minimum supervision
- Proactive team player with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Fluency in German and English
