Position Summary
The accounting team is part of the financial management group of Samsung Semiconductor Europe GmbH. In this position, you will play an important role in day-to-day accounting operations. You will be responsible for managing travel & expense settlements in Samsung Semiconductor Europe, as well as supporting the accounting team with AP invoice booking and payment processing. You will liaise with our vendors to ensure a smooth payment process and maintain and great vendor relationship.
Role and Responsibilities
Travel & Expense management
- Responsible for Travel & Expense (T&E) claim management in Samsung Semiconductor Europe
- Review expense claims and supporting documents submitted by employees to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding expense claims, reimbursement policies, claim status and other queries
- Provide onboarding and T&E training to new employees on a regular basis
Accounts payable accounting
- Assist in invoice booking and processing in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist in preparation of weekly payment runs
- Align with the Samsung HQ, our Shared Service Centre and other colleagues on the implementation and change of accounting processes and policies
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, finance, tax or an apprenticeship training as an accountant
- Proven experience in a multinational corporation and experience with German GAAP
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task under minimum supervision
- Proactive team player with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in English and German to collaborate effectively with your team members and act as a trusted advisor for our managers and employees
- Very good command of SAP and MS Office applications
