Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable (provide detailed information by cost center), general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain records in accordance with BRGAAP and USGAAP accounting standards, including impacts of new or changes to existing standards.
- Work with various outsourcing teams in different finance areas, including accounting, tax, HR, legal, payments, and receivables.
- Interact with key stakeholders outside of accounting, such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Country Manager, Human Resources, and Treasury teams.
- Manage timely accounting close processes, including data requests from related parties and external accountants; review monthly balances, explain fluctuations, and summarize account information.
- Prepare daily cash reports and monthly cash reports by cost center.
- Calculate, review, and report commissions and reimbursements.
- Manage the merchant reconciliation process and assist with communications to resolve outgoing and incoming payment issues.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing, including financial accounting reports and billing.
- Attend and support external audits.
- Implement a process to improve controls and information across the departures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3- 5 years of experience with outsourcing teams in diverse financial areas are essential, in managing financial records, reporting processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, expertise in BRGAAP and USGAAP, in a lending institution or in the fintech industry.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and Effective communication, reliable in attend deadlines and applying controls
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Prior experience working with accounting software as NetSuite; SQL, IFRS 16 - Leases and IFRS 9 - Financial Instruments is a plus.
