Position Overview:

As part of the talented Lowe Boats team, as an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for financial leadership for Lowe Boats, managing a finance/accounting team, and oversight of general accounting activities for the Lebanon, MO facility.  You will assist the facility’s senior staff members in all areas of the accounting function.  The position will bring analytics to operations, sales, marketing, strategy, supply chain, and brand leaders to understand and improve the processes, analytics and overall business results.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the plant leadership on the key initiatives of the facility.
  • Develop and manage financial accounting team members including the creation and maintenance of a development plan for direct reports.
  • Acts as finance business partner for the Lowe brand including pricing guidance.
  • Lead analysis and support actions to unlock value across production, logistics, and procurement.
  • Prepares annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and conducts monthly financial reviews with senior leadership.
  • Review of balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and lead month end close activities and reporting.
  • Assists in the development and preparation of accounting statements, schedules, analysis and reports to reflect the financial condition of the facility.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the division including SOX documentation and oversight of physical inventories.
  • Interpret all aspects of production: Material Purchase Price Variance, Material Usage Variance, Manufacturing Scrap Variance and Overhead.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis on: operational results, working capital improvements, cost reductions and driving Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Lead finance department through external and internal audits.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four year Bachelor Degree in Accounting with a minimum of six years work experience.  Preferably in the Manufacturing industry and in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Effective project management, documentation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills used to influence others to accomplish identified objectives.
  • Ability to work under deadline constraints
  • Flexibility and multitasking are required, while also being highly detail orientated
  • Recognize and be responsive to the needs at all levels of the organization, functional groups, external vendors and dealer network.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Good safety awareness, attitude, and attendance. Self-starter and a team player. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently, as well as part of a team and have proven attention to detail. 
  • Decisive: able to make fact-based decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of quality improvement theories like 5S, Kaizen and LSS
  • Boating or recreational industry experience

The anticipated pay range for this position is $87,800 - $128,750 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
