Accounting Analyst
Position Summary:
Full time salaried position
Onsite based out of our Philadelphia, PA location
Our Philadelphia facility is our North American Center of Excellence for clinical supply packaging.
The Accounting Analyst will support the Finance team by performing a combination of cost accounting, general accounting, and capital accounting activities for the Philadelphia site. This role has primary responsibility for inventory, manufacturing variances, standard cost support, and fixed asset and capital project accounting. The position is expected to take an active role in cost accounting processes, monthly close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting, while also supporting the full lifecycle of capital projects and fixed assets.
The Role:
Support cost accounting activities through inventory analysis, standard cost maintenance, and review of manufacturing variances. Perform inventory reconciliations, review cycle count documentation, and follow up on discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness. Analyze financial data and partner with cross-functional teams to research and resolve issues related to inventory, product costs, and manufacturing transactions.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of required materials.
Oversee the accounting and full lifecycle management of capital projects and fixed assets, including creating and maintaining project-specific GL codes, tracking construction-in-progress activity, capitalizing and placing assets into service, recording depreciation, and processing asset retirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track capital expenditures, validate asset status, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls across accounting processes. Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned to support finance leadership and site operations.

The Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is a plus, but not required
Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience is beneficial, but not required
Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles. Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and support problem-solving efforts
Ability to work with large data sets and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment, required
Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software; JDE experience, preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
