Job Summary
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and appropriate accounting treatment of financial data supporting accounting, reporting, and operational processes across Controller & Treasury. Performs analysis, validation, reconciliation, and process support activities while partnering across Accounting, Operations, Financial Controls, and Technology teams to support accurate reporting, effective controls, and continuous improvement efforts. Serves as a key partner in aligning business activities, operational processes, and financial reporting outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Facilitates accounting, reporting, and operational processes by ensuring financial data is accurately processed, validated, and reflected in financial reporting and downstream activities.
- Executes classification, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Delivers financial, regulatory, management, and operational reporting activities by analyzing data, researching issues, validating information, and partnering with stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and process effectiveness.
- Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control activities by preparing documentation, validating information, and ensuring compliance with established requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, reporting effectiveness, and operational performance through process simplification, standardization, and automation.
- Establishes financial risk management through execution of controls, identification and escalation of risks, and maintenance of documentation supporting audit readiness and compliance.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, exceptions, variances, and opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, process effectiveness, and control execution. Monitor and validate data quality, investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with stakeholders to improve the reliability and integrity of information used in reporting and decision-making.

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, operations, or systems-related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, perform reconciliations, and resolve issues impacting financial processes, reporting, controls, and operational effectiveness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel), SQL and experience working with financial or operational systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across teams and explain concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to act as a subject‑matter expert and manage shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes, share findings and recommendations including general ledger and financial reporting concepts.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a financial services or large corporate environment with complex financial processes.
- Experience supporting financial reporting, audit, or regulatory processes. Familiarity with financial systems, data tools, or reporting platforms.
- Progress toward or interest in relevant professional certifications CPA, CMA, MBA, IIBA-CBAP, IIBA-CCBA.
- Exposure to process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
