Accountant

We are looking for Accountant to join our team working in office at our Tyler, Texas location. This position is responsible for managing customer billing, collections, and vendor payments while maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will handle complex reconciliations, compile and analyze financial data, and prepare essential financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, across multiple entities. Additional duties include performing audits, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with audit schedules.

Your Impact:

• Customer billing (non-premium) and collections (includes premium)
• Vendor and Employee Expense invoices payment processing
• Journal entries for monthly financial statement reporting purposes
• Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations (surplus lines, sales & use tax, 1099s, etc.)
• Complex and large volume of reconciliations (bank accounts, insurance program bordereaux by carrier and program year, security deposits, fixed assets, etc.)
• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data
• Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. for multiple entities
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Performing reconciliation audits and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries

Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Office manager or progressive accounting responsibility experience preferred
• QuickBooks and AMS360 experience preferred
• Strong organizational, excel, analytical, communication, customer service and computer skills
• Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes
• Ability to work overtime as needed to achieve reporting deadlines
• Occasional travel may be required
