What you’ll Do:
The Senior GL Accountant position is a dynamic role within a fast-moving organization and environment. This individual will be a key member of the team responsible for providing timely and accurate financial data to all levels of management, offering analysis and insight on various topics, and ensuring a sound internal control environment. This role will also aid in the purchase price allocation and post-close accounting of acquisitions. This position requires an experienced, strategic, and technical self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and changing priorities.
- Assist the accounting team in the monthly close process and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare journal entries across all business segments.
- Prepare reconciliations of critical balance sheet accounts at appropriate time intervals.
- Assist in the accounting integration of M&A activity, including the purchase price allocation, the working capital true-up process, and working directly with former owners.
- Review and resolve general accounting matters and requests from the field.
- Prepare ad hoc financial and business analyses.
Requirements We Look For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High proficiency in Excel
