About the Role
As an accountant, you’ll play a critical role in accounting operations by supporting the day-to-day processes, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to continue to grow and scale as one of the premier Insurance technology companies in the country.
Please note: This is an onsite role working out of our Bethesda, MD office.
Here's what you'll do day-today:
- Support monthly operations to generate customer invoices.
- Collections/Customer Support: address customer questions, invoice delivery issues and payment issues.
- Support team with monthly Journal Entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage weekly Accounts Payable process.
- Manage vendor profiles.
- Manage full 1099 lifecycle.
- Assist in Accounts Receivable processes, such as applying customer payments, making weekly bank deposit, and processing merchant reconciliation and disputes.
- Support operational improvements and documentation.
Minimum requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from accredited university
- 2-3 years working in a mid to large company experience performing accounting duties, preferably in the SAAS industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
- Self-Starter with ability to work independently and think critically
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with experience in Excel
- Knowledge of insurance industry a plus
