Responsible for daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, vendor management, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Support month-end closing activities, fixed asset and lease accounting, expense reviews, and state and local tax filings.
JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Obtain proper information and create vendors in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Verify, classify, review and process vendor invoices
- Find discrepancies between the vendor statements and the ledger
- Reconcile and review AP aging monthly, follow up with any open AP invoices or credits
- Perform bank account reconciliations and generate a reconciliation report
- Work closely with team members to coordinate with the month-end closing
- Coordinate and communicate internally and externally on various projects
- Assist preparation of yearly 1099 forms
- Assist preparation of audits and reports
- Perform other accounting relates tasks
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and periodic reviews.
- Assist with lease accounting, including reviewing lease schedules, lease-related transactions, and reconciliations.
- Review operating expenses to ensure accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of various state and local tax returns and reports

Qualifications for an accountant include having an extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures; having strong accounts payable skills; being able to handle multiple projects in a given time, including during deadline periods; being a self-starter as well as a team player.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2 - 3 years of accounts payable experience or general accounting
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts payable functions and procedures
- Sage or SAP experience highly preferred
- Maintain high attention to detail and strict deadlines
- Must be able to work efficiently in a team independently
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written – Bilingual English and Korean preferred
- General Microsoft office knowledge with proficiency in Excel including functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
- Experience with Certify or SAP Concur is plus
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts payable functions, and procedures
- Ability to maintain high attention to detail and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office knowledge and Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
- Sage or SAP experience
- Experience with Certify or SAP Concur
- Bilingual English and Korean skills
