Job Summary
Supports royalty calculations, contract review, reconciliations, payment tracking, reporting, and author queries. Requires accounting, contract interpretation, finance systems capability, IFRS/tax knowledge, stakeholder communication, and developing independence.
Royalty Processing - Prepare and validate royalty calculations and payment information in accordance with contractual terms.
Contract Review - Review and interpret royalty agreements to ensure accurate application of payment and reporting requirements.
Data Collection and Analysis - Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to support royalty reporting and decision-making.
Reconciliations and Payment Tracking - Perform reconciliations, monitor royalty payments, and investigate discrepancies.
Insights and Reporting - Extract, consolidate, and analyze data to prepare standard and ad hoc royalty reports.
Information and Business Support - Respond to author, licensor, and stakeholder inquiries regarding royalties, payments, contracts, and policies.
Financial Policies and Compliance - Support adherence to accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Data Management - Maintain accurate royalty, contract, and author master data within financial systems.
Personal Capability Building - Continuously develop knowledge of royalty accounting, financial reporting, contract interpretation, and relevant technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 to 4 years of experience in royalty accounting, financial accounting, finance operations, or a related field.
Understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience reviewing contracts and applying financial terms and payment provisions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with ERP, finance, or royalty management systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
