ACCOUNTANT OFFICER

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  
• Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and bank transactions.
  
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Process supplier payments and ensure timely settlement of invoices.
  
• Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding debts.
  
• Maintain proper records of creditors and debtors.
  

Payroll and Statutory Compliance

• Assist in payroll preparation and salary processing.
  
• Ensure timely submission of statutory payments such as PAYE, NSSF, WCF, and SDL.
  
• Maintain compliance with TRA and other regulatory requirements.
  

Budgeting and Reporting

• Assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  
• Prepare management reports and support external/internal audits.
  
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
  

Internal Control and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  
• Support implementation of internal controls to minimize fraud and financial risks.
  

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in FMCG industry.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
