Coface Bucharest Shared Services Center - a constantly growing team of enthusiastic experts covers daily various processes and roles for Coface entities for all European regions. We do service multiple business lines from commercial to finance and technical with our more than 100 people speaking French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Romanian. We are all proudly running external and internal client operations at the highest standards of quality and efficiency!

Perform Accounting activities in the area of AP, AR and / or GL:

• Incoming cash allocation and payment recording
• Cash out activities 
• Invoicing clients and brokers
• Clearing of open items on transitory accounts
• Master data activities
• Verification of accounting documents for VAT purposes
• Accounts reconciliation and journal entries
• Reconciliations between main ledger and sub ledger
• Timely monthly, quarterly and annual close processes

Reports on the Accounting activities to SSC management and the serviced country.

Ensures that all activities performed at any time by himself/herself or her/his colleagues under his/her watch, respect Coface integrity, security and reputation, by following all internal rules and controls in his/her scope of activity.

Is accountable for operations’ accuracy and quality regarding statutory and Group rules and standards.

Ad hoc activities:

Participates in the creation / update of Finance Standard Operating Procedures used by the SSC operational teams.

Participates in project work (e.g. lean & optimization topics).

Participates to functional & cross-functional meetings (when required) and shares feedback and regular contact with functional finance team

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor / Master's degree in Business or Accounting

Experience:

• Experience in an accounting department minimum; preferred 2-3 years
• Experience in trade credit insurance industry is a plus
• Experience in an international environment preferred.

Skills:

• Good knowledge of accounting  processes
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Independent worker and team player
• Ability to deal with numerous deadlines simultaneously / Multi-tasking
• Familiarity and ease with varying IT and online software and applications.
• Knowledge of local GAAP is a plus
• Basic knowledge of major internal control procedures
• Experience with SAP S4/Hana is a plus
• Controlling/tax skills/knowledge is a plus

• Fluent in Italian
• Fluent in English
• French – nice to have
