About The Job

To support our after sales growth in the German area, we are looking for a new addition to the team as LPS Account Manager.

This role is focused on managing and developing existing and new client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, performance, and growth. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver value through service excellence and strategic account management.

Using your technical education and commercial sense, you promote our aftermarket Lifecycle Performance Services (LPS), like Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), spare parts and stand alone equipment. You will be visiting existing customers and prospects to convince them to use our products & services, process knowledge and parts to improve the performance, reliability and up-time of their processes and systems.

What you’ll do

  • Visiting customers and prospects 35-50% of your time

  • Serve as the primary point for escalations for our customers within the German market

  • Promote and offer service and maintenance contracts to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction

  • Analyze client needs and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion of services and equipment

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and develop annual service account plans

  • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to deliver proposals and contracts

  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Stay informed on market developments and competitor activity to support strategic decisions

Since this is a commercial role, we measure your performance by the amount of visits you do, revenue by opportunities, and your hit rate.

What you bring

You understand machines and equipment. You like to manage and organize your own work. Also, you have experience in sales of complex equipment or high value services. You want to be the trusted advisor for your customers, for you customer centricity is essential.

In order to be successful in this challenging role, we are looking for the following in your profile:

  • Education in technical area (eg Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronical Engineering) or in Business Engineering.

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a technical environment, preferably at a manufacturer of capital equipment.

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in sales of services or capital goods.

  • Willing to travel (up to 50% of your time)

  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with an understanding of contract terms and service deliver

  • Fluency in German and English is essential

  • Ability to work independently, able to schedule your own tasks and week planning, prioritize effectively, and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Knowledge of the German market and relevant industry trends is a strong advantage

  • Understanding of the Parcel industry is an advantage
