Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales through current and potential customers in accordance with channel strategy
  • Account management, including but not limited to daily sales calls, customer visits, development of demand forecast, management and execution of account plans, growth funnel, analysis of existing sales by customer to identify product gaps
  • Communicate customer needs, risks, and opportunities. Manage circumstances affecting customer satisfaction, industry news, and competitor activity; recommend and manage improvement actions
  • Work with pricing to create new proposals, implement pricing initiatives with customers, and maintain/improve profitability
  • Work with product management and technical service to identify sales opportunities for new products, meet customers' needs on existing product and engineered solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering with strong technical automotive knowledge; or any combination of 2-year Associate/Technical degree and 2 years work experience.
  • Technical knowledge of engine, automatic transmission, and/or steering systems preferred.
  • Five plus years of sales/account management experience in aftermarket automotive and/or related industries experience preferred.
  • Ideal attributes include relationship building, project ownership, change management, and a strong sense of urgency and curiosity.
