About the Role
The Funeral Home Portal Account Manager/Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, selling, and increasing utilization of the VitalChek Funeral Home Portal among funeral homes, mortuaries, cremation providers, and related organizations. This role partners with state and local government agencies to support portal adoption, educate funeral directors on the benefits of electronic ordering, and drive transaction growth through ongoing customer engagement and training.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell the Funeral Home Portal to funeral homes within assigned territories.
- Build relationships with funeral directors, office managers, and industry associations.
- Generate leads through agency-provided contacts, funeral home associations, and market research.
- Conduct prospecting activities, including outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Qualify opportunities and identify high-potential funeral home customers.
- Schedule and conduct product demonstrations for prospective users.
Customer Education & Training
- Demonstrate portal functionality and benefits to funeral home personnel.
- Train customers on ordering death certificates, burial permits, and related services.
- Assist customers with onboarding and adoption efforts.
- Ensure customers understand available delivery, reporting, and payment options.
Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to funeral home customers and agency partners.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to encourage ongoing usage and identify expansion opportunities.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate with product, support, and operational teams when necessary.
- Support agency outreach initiatives promoting portal participation.
Performance Management
- Monitor portal utilization and transaction growth within assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records and pipeline updates.
- Provide regular reports on outreach efforts, customer engagement, and adoption metrics.
- Focus on increasing portal usage and revenue generation.
Requirements
