At our location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a
Account Manager, Senior Battery Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)
to drive the strategic growth of our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business and strengthen BorgWarner's position in the rapidly expanding energy storage market. This role combines business development, executive-level customer engagement and complex commercial negotiations in an international environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic business development of BorgWarners Battery Energy Storage Systems portfolio in international markets
- Develope and implement customer and growth strategies to increase market share, revenue and profitability
- Expand and strengthen relationships with existing customers and acquire new strategic lead customers across the energy storage ecosystem
- Lead commercial activities including offer, pricing and contract strategies for complex customer opportunities
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives in close collaborationwith internal stakeholders
- Analyse market trends, competitive developments and new business opportunities to support long-term growth.
- Represent BorgWarner at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows while building relationships with key decision-makers
- Lead cross-functional teams and contribute to sales forecasting and long-range business planning
Your Profile
- Master’s degree. in Engineering, Business) or comparable qualification
- Extensive experience in strategic sales, account management or business development
- Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems, renewable energy, power systems or a comparable technical field.
- Solid understanding of BESS applications, system architecture and grid integration (e.g. utility-scale, C&I, microgrids)
- Proven track record in commercial negotiations and strategic customer development
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across Europe
