Job Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented Account Manager - Sales to manage and grow customer accounts, drive revenue, and build long-term business relationships within the IT Distribution ecosystem. The role involves managing existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, driving solution sales, and collaborating with internal teams, channel partners, and technology vendors to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess strong account management skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to drive revenue growth through consultative selling and strategic relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Manage and develop relationships with assigned customer accounts.
- Build strong engagement with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop account plans and growth strategies to maximize business opportunities.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and gross margin targets.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts.
- Acquire new customers and expand business within target markets.
- Drive the complete sales cycle from opportunity generation to order closure.
Customer Engagement
- Conduct regular customer meetings and business reviews.
- Understand customer business needs and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Build strong customer relationships to ensure retention and long-term growth.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate internal resources for timely resolution.
Solution Selling
- Promote and position the company's IT products, solutions, and services.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Pre-Sales teams to develop customer-centric solutions.
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and business proposals.
- Support customers through technical and commercial discussions.
Channel & Vendor Collaboration
- Work closely with channel partners, system integrators, and resellers to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with OEMs and technology vendors to identify business opportunities and leverage vendor programs.
- Participate in joint customer engagements and business planning initiatives.
Pipeline & Forecast Management
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently generate new opportunities.
- Track and manage opportunities through CRM systems.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and periodic business reports.
- Monitor account performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Market Intelligence
- Stay updated on technology trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support business growth strategies.
- Identify emerging opportunities within the assigned territory or customer base.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Pre-Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Ensure smooth order processing, delivery coordination, and post-sales support.
- Drive customer satisfaction through effective internal and external stakeholder management.
