C.H. Robinson is seeking an Account Manager to join our High Vale team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer experience by ensuring accurate order entry, effective internal communication and consistent execution of shipments that meet established service levels. The Account Manager is accountable to drive growth and maximize retention for a defined customer portfolio. As the primary point of contact for our customers, the Account Manager is additionally responsible for customer advocacy, driving continuous improvement, and delivering on our customer commitments. The Account Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure an optimal customer experience.
This is a hybrid position based in our Lisle, IL office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a key contact to assigned book of customers.
- Quote customer opportunities when no BRD is involved on the account
- Enter quotes into the quoting tool when no BRD is involved on the account
- Build and enter shipments accurately in the operation system with all load and service requirements.
- Responsible for promptly updating any changes required for the load.
- Monitor and escalate any coverage challenges to ensure timely resolution
- Ensure complete and timely order billing for all orders
- Assist adding insight for customer MBR/QBR (Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review).
- Proactively work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and service delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on new business implementations and discussions around making improvements to existing business.
- Provide insight on and changes needed to maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide and optimize service performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years' experience within transportation, logistics, and /or brokerage environment required
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record in data entry and strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate pro-actively and effectively to other departments internally
- Knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry
- Ability to multi-task and work well with others in a fast-paced environment within strict time frames
- Passionate about customer service and solving problems with customer experience in mind
- Mathematics and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Entrepreneurial, pro-active spirit
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Compensation Range
