  • Fleet Manager – A central platform for organising and managing equipment available for sale, improving visibility and control across the sales process.
  • Equipment Insights – Independent, market-backed intelligence covering used equipment values, residual values, value trends, marketable life and global auction results.
  • Branded Webshops – Customer-facing digital storefronts that enable businesses to professionally present and promote their available equipment online.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Executive to lead new business growth for Rouse Fleet Manager in the UK. The role will focus on developing relationships and winning business across construction equipment OEMs, dealers, traders and finance companies.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in at least one of these sectors and a well-rounded understanding of construction equipment sales. They will understand how equipment is valued, financed, acquired, marketed and sold through retail, wholesale, trade and auction channels, and will be able to translate this knowledge into compelling business cases for Rouse Fleet Manager, Equipment Insights and Webshops.

This is a consultative new-business role requiring strong industry credibility, disciplined pipeline management and the ability to engage senior commercial, used equipment, asset management, finance and digital stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the UK market – Build Rouse Fleet Manager’s presence across OEMs, construction equipment dealers, machinery traders and equipment finance companies.
  • Identify and create new business opportunities – Research target accounts, map relevant decision-makers and generate a consistent pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, events, industry relationships and collaboration across RB Global.
  • Manage the full sales cycle – Own opportunities from prospecting and qualification through discovery, demonstration, business case development, proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Deliver consultative discovery – Understand each prospect’s equipment sales model, inventory challenges, valuation processes, digital sales strategy and commercial objectives before recommending the appropriate Rouse solution.
  • Present and demonstrate the platform – Deliver credible, tailored demonstrations of Fleet Manager, Equipment Insights and Webshops to operational users, commercial leaders and senior decision-makers.
  • Build value-led commercial cases – Show how Rouse can improve visibility of used equipment, strengthen valuation and residual value decisions, support stock turn, expand digital reach and improve equipment sales outcomes.
  • Develop senior industry relationships – Build trusted relationships with used equipment directors, dealer principals, sales leaders, asset managers, finance teams, remarketing teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources – Work closely with Rouse product, data, customer success, implementation and marketing teams to ensure opportunities are accurately scoped and customers are set up for successful adoption.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting – Keep Salesforce and other sales systems up to date, including activity, opportunity stages, next steps, revenue forecasts and account plans.
  • Achieve commercial targets – Meet or exceed agreed activity, pipeline, new customer and annual recurring revenue targets.
  • Represent Rouse in the market – Attend customer meetings, trade shows, conferences and industry events across the UK, acting as a credible ambassador for Rouse and RB Global.
  • Provide market feedback – Share customer requirements, competitor intelligence and market trends to support product development, marketing strategy and go-to-market execution.

  • Construction equipment sales knowledge – A well-rounded understanding of the construction equipment sales lifecycle, including equipment specification, stock acquisition, pricing, valuation, residual values, financing, remarketing and disposal.
  • Commercial credibility – The ability to hold informed conversations with experienced equipment professionals and understand the economics of new and used equipment sales.
  • Relevant sales track record – Demonstrable success in business development, account management or commercial sales, ideally involving complex solutions, technology, data or value-added services.

  • Credible, professional and relationship-led, with a practical understanding of how the construction equipment industry operates.
  • Highly organised, with strong prioritisation, follow-up and territory-management skills.
