The Building Access Account Executive (BAA) will support the CB sales organization and work with boundary partners to secure building access agreements for all commercial business sales channels. The BAA is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers to execute building access strategies. The BAA must stay current on processes, tools, products, services, and basic data analytics to provide data to leadership as needed. The BAA may also support Account Executive team members with smaller-scale projects for new build and serves as a liaison to partner organizations for existing properties. Additionally, BAA will work closely with Sales support teams to improve customer experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
The primary focus is to request and acquire Building Access Agreements for commercial businesses to deliver voice, data, and video services to their property. Customer type includes small, medium, large businesses, educational, and government accounts, as well as other specific market verticals i.e., hospitality, cell towers.
- Meets or exceeds productivity goals resulting in faster installation times of newly acquired customers and/or upgrade of existing services. May also include lead generation.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for building access questions and ensures customer satisfaction regarding building access contract acquisition.
- Research building access projects using various tools such as county assessor and corporate commission sites to ensure all parcel owners and associations involved are notified and proper authorization is granted to legally build-out projects.
- Obtain additional Contact Information (Parcel Owner, Primary, Vendor, etc.).
- Must be able to interpret construction drawings, distinguish the difference between right-of-way, public utility easement, and private property.
- Initiates and negotiates contracts (e.g., building access agreements) with the property owner to ensure a professional relationship.
- Works closely with Cox legal to ensure contracts are in the best interest of Cox and serve as a liaison between legal and property owners as needed.
- Collaboratively works with Sales, Construction, Permitting, and Project Management teams to determine the best solution for the customer and Cox.
- Coordinates with Operations and Construction teams to inform them of access and easement agreements requiring build-out.
- Meet and attend events with property owners to establish a productive relationship and provide education regarding Cox's processes.
- Utilize enterprise systems such as CB Force, ICOMS, WATTS, OPTIX, Myworld to manage, track, and complete work-related tasks.
- Support customer escalations for non-revenue generating activities (e.g., service and field issues/credits).
- Shares best practices, lessons learned, and operational efficiencies with team and leadership to provide the best customer experience.
- Professional contributor working independently on special assignments that have direct impact on department and/or organizational goals.
- Provide general guidance and direction to develop and train new professional support personnel.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
- Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve more complex, less clearly defined issues
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to provide solutions to customer needs and challenges
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to travel to customer locations within the system
- Collaborative skills toward attainment of regional and corporate goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and data analytical skills
Preferred
- BS/BA or Associates degree in related discipline
- Experience in outside plant construction support, right-of-way, sales support, paralegal background, and/or real estate experience
- Prior experience negotiating building access agreements and easements
USD 64,600.00 - 97,000.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $64,600.00 - $97,000.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $31,599.96.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
