Title and Summary
Acceptance Manager
This is an opportunity to join the Market Development, Acceptance team in Covec, focused on expanding business into new areas and displace cash. We work with the biggest names in tech, e-commerce and financial services to leverage Mastercard's technological capabilities to solve real-world problems for our partners and their customers, create new product propositions, and ensure seamless, secure and inclusive payments.
As a Manager, Business Development, you will help grow the acquiring business while executing on Mastercard's strategic product roadmap, build strong partnerships and drive business with key Acquirers, to increase card acceptance and usage in our markets, taking responsibility for business development and deployment of strategically important initiatives. We are looking for a self-motivated, structured problem solver with a strategic mindset and an ability to form strong relationships internally as well as externally.
About the Role
- Drive initiatives to increase Mastercard's relevance with merchants and preference with cardholders
- Drive business development opportunities and innovative commercial proposals delivering increased revenue and growth through Product, Services and VAS sales
- Broaden the relationship with client stakeholders to drive more strategic discussions and entrenchment of the Mastercard brand
- Provide insight into a partner's business and relevant recommendations, thinking strategically and broadly
- Provide consultative insights, market analysis, and thought leadership to customers.
- Analyze customer business performance using financial forecasting, profitability modeling, and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with account teams and customers to plan and monitor progress against annual business plans.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and local projects.

- Ability to build and maintain internal relationships with senior management and key stakeholders across the business and gain support for the strategic direction of the business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills in both Spanish and English.
- Strong analytical skills, including P&L analysis and financial forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships at all levels.
- Results-oriented, customer-focused, and self-driven.
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic environments. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Solid project management capabilities, including organization, planning, and follow-up.
