Own rotor and propeller loads development for autonomous aircraft, performing rotordynamics, structural, fatigue, finite element, and flight-test analyses. Define loads requirements, build models, lead design-test-analysis cycles, validate performance through testing, and collaborate across aerodynamics, structures, GNC, systems, and powertrain teams. The role also mentors engineers and develops standardized analysis tools and processes.

Work with Zipline’s autonomous delivery droid to analyze flight data, identify motion-planning failure modes, design validation experiments, apply statistics and machine learning, and develop evaluation tools that improve delivery reliability, safety, and performance. The intern will collaborate with perception, autonomy, and flight-testing teams while gaining experience deploying robotic autonomy systems in real-world operations.

Leads Zipline’s European market expansion by developing government, institutional, and commercial partnerships; prioritizing opportunities; structuring complex deals; establishing regulatory and operational readiness; launching regional networks; and building country teams. Owns regional strategy, pipeline, revenue, unit economics, customer outcomes, and P&L performance while representing Zipline with senior stakeholders across Europe.

Leads electrical infrastructure work across U.S. flight-test facilities, personally performing most installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and documentation. Plans projects, estimates materials and costs, manages priorities, maintains site reliability, coordinates contractors, and ensures code compliance and electrical safety. The role requires regular travel, hands-on work in varied environments, and ownership of electrical systems from assessment through long-term maintenance.

Design and improve commercial implementation workflows supporting partner onboarding, integrations, and ongoing operations. Map processes, identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, collaborate with Product, Enterprise Systems, Customer Success, and Engineering, track performance metrics, and maintain process documentation and SOPs. The internship is full-time and in-person in South San Francisco, with occasional travel to commercial test sites.

Lead cross-functional support operations and partner-experience programs from planning through launch and optimization. Coordinate product, engineering, operations, commercial, and support teams; improve workflows, tools, documentation, and customer experiences; analyze operational data; manage project plans and risks; prepare executive communications; and develop AI-enabled support processes.

Analyzes drone flight-test data, identifies anomalies and root causes, tracks performance trends, and supports regression analysis. Designs and evaluates software validation and flight-test campaigns, develops test infrastructure and instrumentation, maintains dashboards and SQL queries, and may support flight operations. Collaborates with controls, aerodynamics, structures, and systems engineering teams to validate autonomous aircraft and ensure system requirements are measurable and test-ready.

Flight Test Engineering Interns analyze flight-test data, identify anomalies and root causes, evaluate system reliability, and track performance trends. They help design and execute software validation and flight-test campaigns, develop test infrastructure and instrumentation, maintain dashboards and SQL queries, and collaborate with controls, aerodynamics, structures, and systems engineering teams. The role may also involve supporting flight operations, including preflight, launches, maneuvers, and incident reporting.

Design, optimize, and maintain commercial workflows supporting partner onboarding and ongoing operations. Map processes, identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, collaborate with Product, Enterprise Systems, Customer Success, and Engineering, monitor performance metrics, and maintain workflow documentation and SOPs. This is a full-time, in-person internship requiring occasional travel to commercial test sites.

Lead Zipline’s global airspace integration policy and regulatory strategy for autonomous drone operations. Engage with the FAA, civil aviation authorities, air navigation providers, standards organizations, and industry groups on UAS, BVLOS, spectrum, UTM, detect-and-avoid, Remote ID, and ADS-B requirements. Translate regulatory developments into compliance, certification, deployment, and product roadmaps while advising leadership on risks, dependencies, market access, and long-term aviation policy.

Drive cross-functional operational improvements by identifying bottlenecks, diagnosing root causes, and delivering scalable fixes. Build dashboards, automations, trackers, and workflows; own end-to-end processes; partner with Operations, Commercial, Data, Product, and Finance; iterate quickly to deliver measurable improvements in speed, decision quality, and execution. Thrive in ambiguity and prioritize impact over bureaucracy.

Product Lead responsible for improving the economics and user experience of Zipline’s marketplace. Partners with engineering, operations, commercial, sales, and leadership teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, prioritize product opportunities, shape roadmaps, guide experimentation, and optimize real-time value tradeoffs. The role requires field research with frontline users, quantitative and qualitative analysis, technical collaboration, and ownership of scalable solutions across logistics and fulfillment operations.

Assist the Technical Writing team with reviewing, editing, restructuring, and updating manuals, procedures, guides, troubleshooting content, and onboarding materials. Improve information architecture and documentation usability, clarify technical concepts, identify content gaps, and collaborate with writers, engineers, and operations partners to validate accuracy and incorporate feedback.

Supports marketplace strategy and operations through site and cohort performance analysis, dashboards, recurring readouts, growth-program prioritization, and monitoring of capacity, fulfillment, utilization, customer experience, and profitability. Partners cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Utilization to identify opportunities, test marketplace levers, measure outcomes, and scale successful programs across Zipline’s delivery network.

Supports electrical distribution and wiring design for autonomous drone delivery ground systems. Assists with NEC-compliant commercial and light-industrial designs, utility coordination, certification documentation, vendor evaluation, risk tracking, site visits, and process improvements. Collaborates with engineering, deployment, construction, and business teams while contributing to scalable charging infrastructure and technical documentation.

Own and grow a focused portfolio of strategic partnerships from launch through expansion and performance management. Build executive and cross-functional relationships, develop market and account expansion plans, monitor performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, lead business reviews, and translate partner needs into internal action plans. The role requires analytical judgment, executive communication, stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and comfort navigating ambiguity across complex logistics partnerships.

Own Phoenix market marketing strategy and performance, identifying growth opportunities and coordinating integrated campaigns across brand, lifecycle, partnerships, community engagement, and merchant launches. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Communications, and Marketing to prioritize investments, define metrics, measure results, and refine strategy. Represent local customer and competitive insights to the broader organization while driving awareness, acquisition, referrals, launches, and overall market growth.

Monitor airspace and environmental conditions during unmanned aircraft system testing, flights, and deliveries. Identify aircraft, weather, fire, and other hazards; communicate concerns to the Remote Pilot in Command; initiate mitigations; and pause or stop operations when necessary. Attend briefings, complete crew procedures, maintain situational awareness during isolated operations, and participate in recurrent and regulatory training across day, night, and weekend shifts.
