Supports drone-delivery partners from launch through daily operations and performance reviews. The role is on-site or hybrid in the Dallas area, requires frequent local travel, and includes occasional evening and weekend work.

Supports Zipline’s launch and site operations by organizing milestones, dependencies, risks, and readiness activities; analyzing operational data; preparing status materials; following up on blockers; and building dashboards, playbooks, checklists, or lightweight automations. The intern owns a scoped project from problem definition through pilot, measurement, and handoff, with occasional onsite launch support and travel.

Supports Zipline launch planning and site operations by organizing milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions; analyzing operational data; preparing readiness materials; tracking blockers; and creating dashboards, playbooks, templates, checklists, or lightweight automations. The intern owns a scoped improvement project from definition through pilot and handoff, participates in selected onsite launch activities, and translates field observations into repeatable processes.

Support marketplace strategy and operations through site, cohort, and metro performance analysis. Build reports and dashboards, evaluate pricing, promotions, prioritization, budget allocation, and demand-shaping opportunities, monitor operational constraints, and provide performance readouts. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Utilization teams to turn insights into actions, measure outcomes, and scale successful programs across Zipline’s delivery network.

Leads Zipline’s data operations and annotation organization, converting real-world data into high-quality datasets for machine learning and autonomy teams. Owns data collection, annotation, validation, quality control, operational strategy, metrics, automation, and cost optimization. Partners across ML, autonomy, engineering, and field operations to translate model needs into collection priorities and scalable workflows. Develops managers, drives cross-functional programs, and improves data quality, coverage, speed, reliability, and economics.

Design, build, and sustain electromechanical test equipment for batteries and power electronics. Deliver end-to-end test systems combining mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, safety, and automation. Create CAD, schematics, wiring, automation scripts, and manufacturing documentation. Commission, validate, troubleshoot, and improve lab and production test fixtures while collaborating across mechanical, electrical, software, reliability, manufacturing, and field teams.

Supports commercial strategy and operations through business reviews, reporting, performance analysis, forecasting, competitor research, and cross-functional planning. The intern will analyze customer, merchant, market, and operational data; prepare leadership presentations; improve operating processes; and own a defined strategy or operations project. The role is full-time and onsite, with frequent travel to operational sites, events, communities, and partner locations in selected Texas or Arizona markets.

Supports commercial strategy and operations through business reviews, performance analysis, reporting, forecasting, competitor research, and market assessments. The intern identifies customer, merchant, and operational opportunities, prepares recommendations and leadership presentations, coordinates cross-functional priorities, improves operating processes, and owns a defined strategy or operations project. The role is full-time, onsite, and requires frequent independent travel to operational sites, events, communities, and partner locations.

Supports Operations Finance through metric development, reporting, forecasting, financial modeling, SQL-based analysis, dashboard creation, variance analysis, KPI reviews, and operational efficiency initiatives. Partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Product, and Data teams to analyze costs, unit economics, performance, and scaling strategies. The internship is full-time and in-person in South San Francisco during Summer 2027.

Supports Operations Finance through metric development, reporting, forecasting, financial modeling, SQL-based operational analysis, dashboard creation, variance analysis, KPI reviews, and process improvements. Partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Data, Product, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate costs, efficiency, unit economics, and scaling strategies across global operations.

Partner with Côte d’Ivoire operations leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams. Responsibilities include organizational design, headcount planning, onboarding, performance management, leadership coaching, compensation reviews, HR process development, labor-law compliance, employee concerns, and workplace investigations. The role also serves as a culture ambassador and supports scalable people programs during rapid organizational growth.

Contribute to Zipline’s Maps stack by building route-generation services, spatial planning artifacts, geospatial visualization tools, data transformation pipelines, and routing algorithms. The intern will improve the speed, safety, and reliability of autonomous drone flight planning while working with spatial data, path planning, validation, and global data access systems.

Support electrical distribution and structure-level wiring design for autonomous drone delivery ground systems. Assist with NEC-compliant engineering, UL/TUV certification documentation, vendor evaluation, technical documentation, risk tracking, and process improvements. Collaborate with engineering, deployment, construction, and business teams, participate in site visits, and support field deployment projects. The full-time internship is in person in South San Francisco from January through April 2027, with occasional travel.

Contribute to Zipline’s Maps stack by developing route-generation services, spatial planning artifacts, geospatial visualization tools, data-access systems, and routing algorithms. Improve planning speed, safety, and reliability while working with spatial data, path planning, validation, and transformation pipelines for autonomous drone delivery.

Own cross-functional technical programs for Zipline’s autonomous flight systems platform, spanning infrastructure, software, data, simulation, validation, deployment, observability, and operational tooling. Lead migrations, rollouts, readiness reviews, risk management, incident follow-through, and stakeholder tradeoffs across engineering and operations. Establish measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, cost, testing, developer velocity, and fleet availability while managing schedules, resources, vendors, and launch dependencies.

Supports consumer marketing projects across lifecycle, merchandising, growth, and product marketing. Responsibilities include coordinating campaigns and launches, tracking timelines, preparing briefs, gathering research and insights, QAing customer-facing materials, reporting performance, and documenting workflows. The intern collaborates with Marketing, Product, Creative, Analytics, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations teams in an in-person South San Francisco environment.

Supports the CEO of Zipline’s Africa business by managing calendars, priorities, meetings, travel, executive communications, follow-ups, recruiting coordination, and stakeholder engagements. The role requires proactive organization, discretion, sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to operate autonomously across countries, cultures, and time zones. The Executive Assistant prepares the CEO for meetings, tracks decisions and deadlines, coordinates internal and external relationships, and improves executive operating effectiveness.

Own product strategy and roadmap for Zipline’s Airspace Platform, covering airspace intelligence, coordination, interoperability, tracking, analytics, and operational workflows. Use flight and airspace data to improve safety and efficiency, lead integrations with external aviation systems, support regulatory and market expansion, and align engineering, autonomy, operations, safety, and commercial teams. Apply simulation, analytics, prototyping, and AI tools to validate product decisions and scale autonomous aviation capabilities.

Design and deliver airspace-management software for a commercial drone network. Build distributed services supporting shared-airspace coordination, flight deconfliction, and simulation; translate safety and operational requirements into resilient, observable, auditable systems; design APIs and data models; own projects through production; contribute to interoperability and open-source efforts; and provide technical leadership, reviews, and mentorship.
