Writes Python, queries SQL, uses Git, notebooks, and cloud platforms, documents work, and participates in Agile projects. The intern collaborates with analytics, technology, and cross-functional teams to produce actionable insights and improve business outcomes.

Provides legal support for corporate governance, compliance, and business operations. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting governance documents and policies, maintaining corporate records, supporting board activities and transactions, coordinating closings, monitoring regulatory developments, assisting with filings and investigations, and advising cross-functional stakeholders alongside internal and external counsel.

Supports Whataburger’s compliance and ethics program through policy administration, training coordination, regulatory and legal research, compliance data analysis, reporting, risk assessments, due diligence, investigations, and corrective-action tracking. The intern also helps improve compliance workflows, explore AI-driven solutions, and support cross-functional projects. This is an on-site San Antonio role Monday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays and occasional travel.

Leads strategic sourcing initiatives, develops category strategies, negotiates supplier agreements, analyzes spend and costs, builds savings business cases, evaluates supplier performance, mitigates supply chain risks, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders. The role also mentors sourcing team members and manages complex initiatives supporting restaurant operations.

Leads demand and supply planning across products, suppliers, and business segments. Analyzes data, develops forecasts and inventory strategies, builds dashboards and planning models, identifies supply chain risks, conducts root-cause analysis, and implements process improvements. Partners cross-functionally to support business decisions, product launches, operational projects, and improved service, cost, and working-capital performance.

Leads engineering strategy, technical vision, and delivery for Whataburger’s web, mobile, ordering, loyalty, payments, and digital platforms. Oversees API governance, integrations, reliability, CI/CD, observability, vendor relationships, budgeting, risk management, and engineering standards. Partners with product, security, infrastructure, data, and business teams while developing high-performing engineering organizations and advancing modernization, innovation, and operational excellence.
