Leads Waystar’s engineering strategy, roadmap, architecture, and delivery for its core healthcare payments platform. Oversees engineering leaders and teams, product development, scalability, reliability, security, DevOps, budgets, resource allocation, and timelines. Partners with product, sales, and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, evaluates emerging technologies, and represents the company’s engineering vision externally.

Owns the full lifecycle of technology initiatives from planning through launch. Facilitates Agile/Scrum practices, removes impediments, supports product backlog refinement, coordinates cross-functional teams, manages releases and defects, monitors SLAs, resolves conflicts, and provides stakeholder updates. Uses AI tools and analytics to improve planning, risk management, automation, and delivery outcomes.

Lead end-to-end implementation and adoption of Waystar healthcare payment solutions for enterprise healthcare clients. Manage project plans, milestones, risks, issues, resources, deliverables, status reporting, strategic reviews, client communications, and transition to enterprise support. Apply healthcare billing, reimbursement, enrollment, and patient payment knowledge to ensure project success.

Leads software quality assurance for web, API, and service-layer products. Responsibilities include designing test strategies and automation frameworks, creating and maintaining test cases and scripts, executing functional, regression, integration, usability, performance, and load testing, validating backend data with SQL, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, validating AWS deployments, managing defects, and guiding QA best practices while ensuring healthcare privacy and regulatory compliance.

Develop and execute consultative sales strategies for healthcare revenue cycle products. Prospect new opportunities, follow up on marketing leads, prepare proposals and contracts, manage account relationships, communicate product offerings, build territory strategy, and track sales activity and quota performance.

Serves as the primary client contact for Waystar solution setup and design during healthcare revenue cycle implementations. Ensures contracted deliverables meet requirements, manages deadlines, builds relationships with client stakeholders and executives, communicates implementation issues, assesses root causes and impacts, recommends solutions and costs, and reports on customer success. Requires healthcare revenue cycle expertise, technology and database knowledge, HIPAA familiarity, troubleshooting skills, and up to 20% travel.

Provides Tier 1 IT support through Jira tickets, calls, and email. Performs basic hardware, software, account access, connectivity, password reset, installation, driver, and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting. Documents issues and troubleshooting steps, resolves common requests, routes complex tickets to Tier 2, monitors ticket progress, communicates with users, follows SLAs and established procedures, and participates in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Provides advanced Tier 2 technical support across endpoints, operating systems, Microsoft 365, identity, networks, enterprise applications, and workplace technology. Supports executives and high-priority events, owns technical service domains, coordinates vendors and escalations, manages asset lifecycles, and leads medium-sized technology projects. Creates documentation, analyzes recurring incidents, improves processes, mentors engineers, participates in on-call coverage, and travels occasionally to support company locations.

Leads a software engineering organization responsible for delivery, quality, team growth, and technical execution. Manages engineers and QA professionals, partners with Product and Design on roadmaps, guides architecture, and promotes reliable, scalable cloud-native systems. Responsibilities include people leadership, hiring, coaching, delivery planning, risk management, Agile practices, observability, automated testing, and operational excellence across SaaS platforms and distributed systems.

Lead a team that drives onboarding, activation, adoption, and optimization of Clearinghouse solutions for enterprise healthcare clients. Ensure client outcomes, revenue realization, delivery predictability, and operational excellence while partnering cross-functionally and managing escalations and strategic relationships.

Provide advanced phone, email, and chat support to Waystar healthcare technology clients, resolving product, technical, and billing issues. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications. Responsibilities include writing quality code, troubleshooting production issues, contributing to architecture and technical direction, participating in the full software development lifecycle, mentoring junior engineers, and optimizing application performance, scalability, and security.

Develops resilient, scalable, and performant solutions for a healthcare payments platform across the full application stack. Responsibilities include building frontend and backend services, participating in technical and product discussions, applying software engineering best practices, writing automated tests, and working independently with strong ownership. The role uses Java, Spring, NodeJS, JavaScript or TypeScript, frontend frameworks, SQL, REST APIs, AWS, and distributed systems.

Design and implement secure multi-cloud architectures (GCP primary; AWS/Azure supported). Build landing zones, IAM, encryption, and guardrails; integrate security into CI/CD and DevSecOps; support detection/response, vulnerability management, SaaS reviews, and audit evidence for healthcare payment compliance (PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, SOX). Partner with engineering, platform, and GRC teams to operationalize cloud security standards and remediation.

Build and enhance an ML platform supporting the full model lifecycle, scalable training and real-time prediction services, expand NLP capabilities, design data engineering solutions, maintain production reliability, and mentor junior engineers.

The SDET is responsible for testing products, executing test cases, creating automated scripts, and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues.

The Clinical Product Consultant will provide clinical insight into product development, auditing effectiveness, enhance user experience, manage client implementations, and support Utilization Management processes.

Provide technical customer support via phone, email, and ticketing systems. Diagnose software, data, and integration issues, escalate defects, document interactions in CRM, create knowledge base content, train clients, participate in product testing, and identify trends to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Generates and qualifies strategic enterprise sales leads for healthcare organizations through outbound prospecting, account research, telemarketing, and CRM activity tracking. Profiles territories, contacts senior healthcare executives, educates prospects on Waystar solutions, supports marketing programs and events, and meets defined performance metrics. The role requires strong communication, organization, business acumen, relationship-building, and the ability to learn healthcare technology and sales processes.
