Facilitates Lean and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing plant. Reads blueprints and shop drawings, performs mathematical calculations, verifies product dimensions and quality, maintains equipment and work areas, and prepares finished shafts for shipment. The role requires PPE, outdoor and non-temperature-controlled work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety and production standards. Forklift and overhead crane operation may be required.

Support site EHS strategy and continuous improvement by implementing Valmont's EHS Playbook, conducting risk assessments and incident investigations, collecting regulatory data and permits, facilitating EHS teams and training, and partnering with regional/site leadership to ensure compliance and reduce hazards.

Inspect production fixtures, chains, and hooks; wire and rack steel parts for pickling or galvanizing; move steel bundles and lightweight materials; use powered tools for preparation and cleanup; support product quality, housekeeping, and workplace safety.

Provide administrative support to the Quality Department: manage records, review and approve data, issue corrective actions, prepare certifications and reports, track trends and root cause data, schedule inspections/audits, and respond to quality data requests.

Partners with hiring managers and HR teams to develop recruiting strategies, build talent pipelines, and manage full-cycle recruitment across manufacturing facilities. Supervises quality control activities and NDT technicians across multiple shifts in a steel fabrication environment. Develops and enforces QMS procedures, performs inspections and audits, interprets codes and drawings, manages corrective actions, analyzes quality data, and supports continuous improvement. The role collaborates with production, engineering, suppliers, customers, auditors, and leadership to reduce nonconformities, scrap, rework, and customer complaints while ensuring compliance with AISC and other applicable standards.

Operate and lead production in the Pultrusion Composite department: set up and tend machines, enforce safety and OSHA/DHEC compliance, drive Lean improvements, perform equipment and safety inspections, manage staffing/overtime, complete quality documentation, and audit standard work to meet on-time delivery.

Provide operational leadership for assigned manufacturing departments, managing frontline supervisors to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools, execute master production schedules and capacity planning, support budgeting/forecasting and P&L responsibilities, and communicate goals and progress. Reports to Senior Plant Manager and manages both direct and indirect reports.

Lead and supervise production shift personnel to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets. Maintain work instructions, train staff, manage equipment condition and downtime, enforce PPE and safety policies, complete quality paperwork, drive continuous improvement and root-cause analysis, and ensure orderly housekeeping and material flow.

Accountable for site financial reporting and analysis including income statements, balance sheets, inventory valuation, margin and variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, SOX controls, and working capital management. Leads month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and operational finance reporting, supports plant operations, manages one accounting associate, and participates in capital planning and special projects. Domestic travel up to 10%.

Design, program, and support PLC/HMI/SCADA-based control systems for manufacturing equipment. Participate in capital projects, develop control logic and documentation, commission systems, troubleshoot automation, integrate robotics, motion control, vision, and industrial networks, and support Industry 4.0/IIoT initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers while applying safety standards and continuous improvement.

The Design Engineer will conduct structural analysis and design for utility transmission structures, manage workflows, interpret specifications, and ensure compliance with standards.

Design, integrate, and support hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control systems for custom manufacturing equipment. Create schematics, size systems, select components, troubleshoot during build and commissioning, and collaborate with controls, manufacturing, and vendors. Maintain documentation, support testing and risk assessments, and contribute to standardization and continuous improvement. Travel up to 10%.

Lead multi-shift steel fabrication and assembly operations, managing safety, production, scheduling, supervisors, continuous improvement, budgeting/forecasting, and site development with travel and relocation readiness.
