Provides taxpayer assistance by phone and in person, answers ad valorem tax questions, processes exemption applications, refers complex issues, enters data, maintains files, scans documents, and performs clerical office duties. The role requires accurate multitasking, problem-solving, courteous communication, basic mathematics, and use of Microsoft Office and data-processing software. It is an entry-level position with no supervisory responsibilities.

Supervises the Title Research department, directing staff who research property ownership, deeds, conveyances, and title records. Plans workloads, monitors quality and deadlines, trains and evaluates employees, handles personnel matters, resolves escalated taxpayer concerns, and coordinates with internal departments and external offices. The role also ensures compliance with Oklahoma property assessment statutes, maintains operational documentation, and leads process improvements.

Provides administrative and clerical support to the Planning Department and Tulsa County. Duties include receiving visitors, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence and reports, processing Board of County Commissioners transmittals and land-use notices, encumbering purchase orders, receiving goods and services, processing invoices, maintaining records, and performing bookkeeping and other departmental tasks.

Performs land-use and planning activities, including reviewing development applications, zoning cases, site plans, and subdivision proposals. Prepares reports, recommendations, maps, and presentations; conducts planning research, data analysis, site visits, and inspections; administers lot split processes; advises residents and developers; coordinates with agencies; supports comprehensive planning projects and public engagement; and assists with planning ordinances, policies, and procedures.

Leads complex county planning projects involving land use, zoning, development review, policy, and long-range planning. Conducts research, forecasting, and data analysis; prepares reports, maps, plans, and technical documents; reviews proposals for regulatory compliance; recommends ordinance and policy updates; and presents findings to leadership, boards, agencies, and the public. Provides technical guidance to junior staff and coordinates stakeholders, timelines, and resources.

Manages Tulsa County’s GIS and Mapping Services Department, including staff supervision, parcel-based mapping, case map production, GIS database integrity, data standards, quality control, workflow, licensing, vendors, budgets, and stakeholder coordination. Reviews legal descriptions and resolves complex mapping issues while ensuring accurate, timely GIS services for planning departments and member communities.

Supervise and perform maintenance and major repairs on county fleet vehicles, train and inspect subordinate work, manage inventory and vendor work, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety and documentation.

Lead county-wide IT strategy and operations, manage infrastructure, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, budgets, and IT staff; oversee projects, vendor relations, compliance, and responsible AI/automation adoption to support Board objectives.

Perform manual and semiskilled maintenance of golf course turf and grounds: mow greens and fairways, operate tractors and mowers, irrigate, plant/trim, apply chemicals per labels, repair traps and roadbeds, and follow safety and DOT testing requirements.

Manage full grant lifecycle including opportunity research, application development, award administration, implementation, monitoring, reporting, budget oversight, stakeholder coordination, and closeout while ensuring compliance and maintaining grant files.

Support juvenile justice staff through supervised internship activities: complete internship agreements, follow policies, engage respectfully with clients, work varied shifts, and contribute to a safe, treatment-oriented environment while meeting academic requirements.

Perform manual and semiskilled turf and grounds maintenance on a golf course: mow greens, tees, fairways and rough; operate tractors and power equipment; irrigate using hose and sprinkler systems; prepare and repair turf areas, bunkers, and roadbeds; plant/trim/spray vegetation; follow chemical label instructions and safety procedures.

Produce, shoot, and edit short and long-form news stories, promotional videos, and PSAs. Develop and execute social media campaigns, monitor and respond to public inquiries, photograph events, and support communications strategies, podcasts, and crisis communications. Build stakeholder relationships, assist with digital communications initiatives, and serve as backup media spokesperson.

Perform pretrial screening and data-entry for incarcerated defendants: conduct background investigations and interviews, check inmate pods for release eligibility, access court and criminal databases, prepare and submit pretrial packets, attend bond dockets, maintain records, and handle related clerical duties.

Operate light road-construction equipment, perform manual road and right-of-way maintenance (shoveling, raking, ditching, mowing), haul materials, perform minor equipment repairs, collect trash, and follow safety and traffic control procedures.
