Owns the design, configuration, reporting, testing, maintenance, and governance of patient access contact center technology. Manages IVR and self-service workflows, queue routing, dashboards, call quality, vendor coordination, license optimization, incident escalation, and integrations. Partners with IT, infrastructure, carriers, and vendors to maintain reliable patient-facing voice operations, improve access performance, and support launches, changes, and disaster recovery requirements.

Leads the strategy, governance, roadmap, vendor management, transformation portfolio, and investment priorities supporting scalable patient access. Oversees access technology, digital access, automation, workforce enablement, clinician capacity, and performance infrastructure. Partners across patient access, clinical access, operations, IT, infrastructure, and vendors to implement measurable improvements, establish accountability, and develop the enablement organization.

Provides outpatient general dermatology care, including diagnosing and treating dermatologic conditions, conducting skin exams and biopsies, performing in-office procedures, creating treatment plans, educating patients, documenting care in athenahealth, and collaborating with specialists. The role is available full-time or part-time in a physician-led practice in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Manages insurance and patient accounts receivable operations, leading AR staff, monitoring collections and aging, resolving denials and reimbursement issues, and improving revenue cycle performance. Oversees claims follow-up, appeals, adjustments, reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with coding, finance, operations, and clinical teams. Develops team members, implements process improvements, identifies revenue recovery opportunities, and reports performance trends and risks to revenue cycle leadership.

Lead clinical and surgical orthopedic service line with emphasis on joint replacement and outpatient programs. Build a Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence, standardize perioperative pathways, drive ASC strategy, enhance multidisciplinary coordination, monitor quality metrics, recruit and mentor surgeons, and expand access and value-based care.

Process and audit claims, verify patient eligibility and benefits, enter demographic and charge data, correct and resubmit denied claims, handle patient case resolution and payments, reconcile accounts, report billing issues and process improvements, and maintain HIPAA compliance to support revenue cycle success.

Lead revenue cycle operations for billing, follow-up, and account resolution. Train and supervise AR staff, analyze denial trends, perform claim corrections, submit appeals, and partner with clinical and payer teams to maximize reimbursement and improve RCM processes.

Answer inbound and outbound patient calls; register patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, handle basic billing questions, route messages and requests (refills, labs, results), resolve registration errors, and escalate clinical or complex issues appropriately.

Plan, develop, and deliver EMR training and documentation for clinical and administrative staff. Support onboarding, go-lives, upgrades, UAT, ticket triage, vendor escalations, and ongoing optimization to improve workflows and documentation accuracy.

Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrine care including diagnosis and management of diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, and metabolic disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans, interpret labs and imaging, provide longitudinal care, collaborate with primary care and specialists, use EMR for documentation, optionally perform thyroid ultrasound/FNA, and participate in quality improvement and program development.

Investigate and respond to privacy incidents involving PHI/ePHI, maintain investigation records, support HIPAA policy development, conduct privacy risk assessments and walk-throughs, assist audits, deliver privacy training, advise on federal/state privacy laws, and represent the Privacy team on internal and external matters.

Supervise daily centralized referral authorization operations, lead and develop staff, ensure timely payer-compliant referral processing, monitor quality and productivity, support audits, and drive process improvements to enhance patient access.
