Lead the technical strategy for Tiko’s data environment, overseeing dbt and Tableau data modeling, semantic architecture, governance, testing, CI/CD, and documentation. Mentor analytics engineering staff and collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, Finance, Operations, and Architecture. Build reliable, scalable data models and standardized metrics that enable trusted self-service analytics. The role requires strong stakeholder communication, business context, and advanced analytics engineering and BI engineering expertise.

Lead a comprehensive assessment and redesign of Tiko's global data function: audit team structures, define target operating model, align data architecture and governance, uplift analyst capabilities, recommend tooling and adoption strategies, and map pragmatic ML opportunities. Deliver actionable roadmaps, capability plans, and stakeholder engagement guidance to transition Tiko to a mature, data-driven operating model.

Develop, maintain, and scale Scala-based backend systems. Apply functional programming (Typelevel/Cats/Cats Effect), ensure security and data protection, participate in agile rituals, document work, collaborate with the tech team, and deliver high-quality, testable microservices on AWS.

Provide second-line application support: investigate and resolve escalated incidents using logs, database queries and AWS, configure and test platform products and business rules, build monitoring/alerts, translate product requirements into configurations, document processes, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve systems.

Manage government and local partnerships to enable Tiko's program implementation across Kilifi or Mombasa. Build relationships with county governments, CBOs, and stakeholders; align field operations with local requirements; represent Tiko in forums; coordinate field teams, resolve operational issues, and support partner capacity building and cross-functional initiatives.

Coordinate and support Tiko ecosystems in Kisumu or Homa Bay by responding to actor queries, conducting in-person checkups, ensuring branding and compliance, coordinating field activities, preventing and reporting fraud, and mapping/contracting new ecosystem partners.

Lead design, prototyping, and scaling of public-private partnerships to improve adolescent girls' health. Source and negotiate flexible corporate deals, run co-creation workshops with retail, telecom and logistics partners, pilot MVPs (e.g., smart lockers, vouchers), define success metrics, and transition successful pilots into scalable national programs while aligning internal teams and managing shared risk.
