Leads the mobile engineering team while developing, maintaining, testing, and securing software for Tiko’s healthcare platform. Coordinates mobile engineering work and cross-team development projects, delivers scalable features, applies software engineering principles, and ensures data protection. The role requires Kotlin and Firebase experience, strong problem-solving skills, quality-focused development, teamwork, independence, and excellent English communication.

Own Tiko’s data product roadmap and backlog across data pipelines, semantic layers, and BI tools. Translate stakeholder needs into user stories, technical acceptance criteria, and data contracts; coordinate sprint delivery; balance technical debt and business priorities; drive adoption; and ensure consistent metrics and high-value data products. The role bridges business teams with data engineering, analytics, and architecture squads on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Provide bilingual English-French technical support to field teams and healthcare partners. Troubleshoot mobile applications, connectivity, and platform issues; manage helpdesk tickets, incidents, user access, onboarding, and offboarding. Maintain support documentation, monitor aggregator uptime, analyze usage and support metrics in spreadsheets, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve bugs and improve platform workflows.

Coordinates support across Tiko healthcare ecosystems in Tshwane and Ekurhuleni. The role answers partner questions, resolves or escalates issues, conducts in-person ecosystem checks, verifies branding and compliance, coordinates field teams, detects and reports fraud, and helps establish new ecosystems by mapping, contracting, and onboarding actors. Candidates need relevant healthcare or program experience, including Mental Health, HIV, or sexual and reproductive health programming, strong interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and fluency in English and another local language.

Lead the technical strategy for Tiko’s data environment, overseeing dbt and Tableau data modeling, semantic architecture, governance, testing, CI/CD, and documentation. Mentor analytics engineering staff and collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, Finance, Operations, and Architecture. Build reliable, scalable data models and standardized metrics that enable trusted self-service analytics. The role requires strong stakeholder communication, business context, and advanced analytics engineering and BI engineering expertise.

Develop, maintain, and scale Scala-based backend systems. Apply functional programming (Typelevel/Cats/Cats Effect), ensure security and data protection, participate in agile rituals, document work, collaborate with the tech team, and deliver high-quality, testable microservices on AWS.
