Develop and improve safe, efficient manufacturing processes, transitioning products from development into scalable production. Lead root-cause investigations, corrective actions, continuous improvement projects, workflow and value-stream development, KPI monitoring, and operational performance improvements. Coordinate across engineering, operations, quality, EHS, supply chain, and project teams while supporting industrialisation, production readiness, and operational excellence in a predominantly onsite manufacturing environment.

Designs and delivers complex mechanical systems and assemblies for fusion energy and high-temperature superconducting applications. Responsibilities include creating 3D CAD models and drawings, performing FEA and engineering calculations, designing for performance and manufacturability, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, supporting testing and integration, and producing technical documentation. The role involves cryogenic temperatures, vacuum, high magnetic fields, pressure systems, radiation, and other demanding operating environments.

Lead the design, development, testing, and commercialization of high-temperature superconducting magnet and coil systems. Own technical work packages, manage prototype build and test campaigns, analyze experimental data, guide engineering decisions, collaborate with research facilities and suppliers, mentor engineers and technicians, and contribute to innovation and intellectual property generation.

Design and develop high-temperature superconducting magnets and magnetic coils for fusion energy and commercial applications. Translate performance requirements into engineering solutions, support prototype development and experimental testing, analyze test data, improve designs, collaborate across disciplines, and develop MATLAB or Python analysis tools. The role also contributes to technical reporting and intellectual property generation.

Design and develop high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology and mechanical models, manage materials databases, design prototype test facilities, interpret test results and report findings, support HTS commercialisation, collaborate cross-functionally, mentor junior staff, and generate intellectual property to meet project SMART objectives.
