Teams at Tokamak Energy

Design and deliver complex mechanical systems for high-field, cryogenic and vacuum environments. Create 3D CAD and engineering drawings, perform FEA and simulations, ensure manufacturability and safety, support testing, validation, integration, and produce technical documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.

Lead a multidisciplinary team (~30) delivering diagnostics, data analysis and plasma control for ST40 and future devices. Set strategy and roadmap, manage complex programme delivery, budgets, labs and safety in a high-hazard R&D environment, develop people and cross‑functional partnerships, and represent Tokamak Energy externally.

Lead design, development, and testing of advanced power conversion subsystems for first-of-a-kind ultra-high-current, low-voltage architectures. Own end-to-end hardware development, run high-power experiments, apply first-principles engineering to novel problems, and collaborate across HTS, systems, controls, and mechanical teams to translate test results into robust demonstrators.
