Manage a portfolio of personal and commercial debts, using telephone, written, email, face-to-face contact and court attendance to collect monies. Apply negotiation skills, follow Thurrock Fair Debt Policy, handle difficult conversations, and communicate with the public to secure repayment agreements.

Manage and develop English, maths and Essential Digital Skills provision, lead a small team of tutors, ensure high-quality teaching, curriculum design, funding compliance, and strong attendance, retention and achievement. Oversee planning, delivery, assessment and quality improvement for adult learners.

Investigate fraud affecting the public sector within a local authority context. Conduct criminal enquiries, apply best-practice investigative tools and partnerships, work unsociable hours as required, and maintain accreditation and security vetting while delivering innovative solutions to complex fraud cases.

Develop and deliver clear, engaging communications and campaigns to support organisational change. Produce written and multimedia content, craft messages, plan channel use, advise stakeholders, manage priorities across project teams and senior leaders, and build relationships to help people understand and adopt change.

Coordinate the Routes to Roots project by supervising and motivating volunteers, improving collections care (re-boxing, database cataloguing), monitoring outputs and data collection, and ensuring safe, consistent project activities in partnership with stakeholders.

Support management and conservation of council parks and countryside sites, carry out practical habitat and tree work, operate and maintain machinery, ensure H&S compliance, supervise staff and volunteers, run visitor engagement and educational activities, and deputise for the Senior Ranger as required.

Coordinate and manage admissions and placements to inclusion bases, special schools and alternative provision. Act as single point of coordination for placement pathways, ensure decisions align with EHCPs/SEN support, track and escalate delays, liaise with settings, families and multi-agency partners to minimise time out of education.
