Reviews and prepares professional fitness-to-practise cases, conducts advocacy before practice committees, manages High Court interim order applications and appeals, and supports PSA and registrant appeals. The role requires substantial professional regulatory experience, strong advocacy, leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to develop colleagues. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and may move between teams as workload demands.

Reviews and prepares fitness-to-practise cases, provides legal advice, and advocates before NMC practice committees and courts. The role requires managing sensitive, high-profile matters independently, meeting deadlines, maintaining accuracy, collaborating across teams, and supporting fair, person-centred adjudication outcomes. Hearings may be virtual or held in London and Edinburgh, with hybrid office attendance required twice weekly.
