Entry-level showroom sales trainee to learn decorative plumbing and fixture products, sales and customer service skills, order entry and inventory systems, and Specbook. Shadow showroom staff, meet manufacturers, generate quotes, follow up with customers and contractors, support project timelines, and participate in training and marketing events. Promotion to senior sales status with commission opportunities after demonstrating proficiency.

Serve as the primary customer contact at the counter: assist with product inquiries, recommend solutions, process sales transactions, maintain computer records and inventory, stock and organize the work area, coordinate transfers with vendors/branches, and collaborate with the sales team to meet goals while staying current on product knowledge.

Develop and grow a sales territory by calling prospective customers, delivering excellent customer service, and meeting or exceeding sales and gross margin targets. Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams, leverage product expertise in plumbing, heating and industrial supplies, and use computer tools to manage sales activities.

Serve customers by answering calls, pricing, preparing quotations, checking inventory, entering orders/credits/backorders, following up on inquiries, and promoting products. Support Senior Inside Sales Representatives and notify branch personnel of inventory discrepancies.

Handle incoming sales calls and walk-in customers, create sales orders and quotes, assist with order picking/packing and restocking, and advise customers on plumbing, heating, and HVAC products while providing excellent service.

Participate in an 18-month rotational Sales and Management Training Program across branch departments (inside sales, HVAC design, counter, warehouse, distribution, retail). Learn inventory, customer service, and business support functions to prepare for a sales or management role at The Granite Group.
