Provide advanced legal advice, research, and writing for complex municipal matters (finance, procurement, leases, construction). Represent the City in high-impact advocacy, negotiate and draft contracts, support litigation and ADR, advise City Council, and mentor or supervise other attorneys.

Lead and manage complex internal audits and fraud investigations for a municipal utility. Plan audit scope, perform risk assessments and control testing, analyze data, interview personnel, draft reports, present findings to management and audit committee, develop audit policies, and coach audit staff.

Manage and deliver district/citywide cultural and arts education programs at the George Washington Carver Museum. Oversee program planning, facilities, budgets, grants, collections care, contract compliance, promotion, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Supervise staff and/or multiple programs, investigate complaints, and build partnerships to advance culturally relevant exhibits and community engagement.

Prepare, review, and analyze accounting transactions and reports, maintain general ledger and reconciliations, process revenue and grant entries, prepare financial statements and audit workpapers, support audits, and provide financial guidance to departments while ensuring GAAP and City policy compliance.

Assist Austin Fire Department Research & Data Analytics with data collection, statistical analysis, GIS and community engagement data interpretation. Prepare reports, support accreditation, community risk assessment, strategic planning, and complete special projects under general supervision.

Create visual designs and marketing assets for web and print, maintain brand standards, produce websites and motion graphics, support CMS updates and accessibility, manage production and vendor coordination, and collaborate with stakeholders on digital campaigns and design systems.

Support Research & Data Analytics by cleaning and validating datasets, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, developing Power BI dashboards and reports, identifying trends/outliers, and contributing to research and special projects that inform accreditation, performance measures, and operational improvements.

Assist professionals with administrative and research tasks, collect and analyze data, help coordinate public outreach and engagement for the 5-year strategic plan and community risk assessment, prepare reports, and support special projects. Plan, develop, and manage user-focused digital content and information architecture for City services. Advise departments on web content, accessibility, SEO, and CMS best practices; run user research and analytics; create content standards, taxonomies, and training; collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to improve website performance and user access.

Coordinate engineering and construction project activities: communicate with stakeholders, assist with budgeting and permits, review contracts and plans, track construction schedules, support GIS and data tools, and represent the City at meetings to ensure compliance and project progress.

Provide administrative and staff support including handling time-sensitive public records requests, verifying documents, data analysis, research, meeting minutes, calendar and travel scheduling, file management, and training/leading others as needed. Must maintain confidentiality and recommend process improvements.

Plan, manage, and coordinate account and mid-market client relationship activities for Austin Energy. Provide one-on-one customer service, audit and correct utility billing, analyze usage data, produce reports, investigate anomalies, partner with city departments, and support education and case management initiatives. Temporary role up to six months.

Assist the Director in planning, directing, managing, and evaluating ACME programs, budgets, personnel, and policies. Oversee program delivery, prepare business plans and reports, serve as spokesperson to stakeholders, mentor staff, ensure compliance with laws and city regulations, identify funding, and measure program effectiveness.

Lead and manage complex civil engineering projects for Austin Transportation and Public Works: develop technical specifications, review plans and contracts, manage budgets and construction inspection, ensure regulatory and ROW compliance, negotiate agreements, coordinate stakeholders, mentor staff, and provide advanced technical guidance and training.

Lead and manage a team of Key Account managers for Austin Energy's largest customers; resolve escalations, coordinate with operations and engineering, run energy efficiency and demand-side management programs, manage budgets and contracts, support incident command and emergency response, and maintain partnerships with surrounding utilities to troubleshoot system issues.

Prepare, review, and analyze general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries; produce financial statements and special reports; perform variance analysis; prepare audit work papers; support grant, asset, liability, inventory, and capital accounting; assist internal customers and complete moderate-to-advanced projects following GAAP and city policies.
