Provides professional HR guidance to managers and employees, administers HR programs, advises on policies and regulations, analyzes workforce data, supports process improvements, trains supervisors, and maintains HR systems and reporting. The position is essential during emergencies and may require work at designated sites and travel between locations.

Leads the Community Recreation division for Austin Parks and Recreation, overseeing strategic planning, budgeting, expenditures, capital improvement projects, contracts, stakeholder engagement, and staff supervision. Develops short- and long-term goals, collaborates with public agencies and advisory boards, manages community recreation operations, and ensures compliance with laws and city policies. The role may require travel between locations, evening or weekend work, and emergency response duties.

Coordinates human rights and equity programs for the City of Austin, including community needs assessments, stakeholder partnerships, public engagement, volunteer supervision, funding research, reporting, budgeting, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance. The role supports initiatives addressing systemic barriers and improving outcomes for underserved communities through cross-departmental collaboration and community-informed programs.
