Lead and support process improvement and optimization projects for ethanol plant operations. Troubleshoot production issues, develop procedures, perform data analysis, prepare capital justifications, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with management and maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Operate and maintain equipment to mix, haul, spread, and apply liquid and dry fertilizers and farm chemicals. Complete applicator logs and delivery paperwork, inspect equipment, handle materials and assist with facility upkeep. Follow label specifications, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures under close supervision to meet seasonal demands.

Manage and grow an HRW wheat trading portfolio by developing and executing cash and futures trading strategies, originating and negotiating grain contracts, coordinating rail and truck logistics, supporting domestic and export activity, managing market risk, and maintaining customer and producer relationships.

Support daily office operations at a fertilizer manufacturing facility: maintain records and databases, prepare correspondence and reports, handle inventory/purchasing and billing tasks, assist vendors, customers, and visitors, and support projects and commodity activity as needed.

Operate GPS-guided equipment to accurately mix, load, transport, and apply liquid and dry fertilizers, crop protection products, seed, and other inputs. Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance, complete applicator logs and delivery paperwork, follow product labels and safety/environmental regulations, handle bulk and packaged materials, drive trucks as needed, and support facility duties and housekeeping.

Coordinate daily grain facility operations including loading rail cars, managing grain flow and bins, performing grain grading, scheduling trucks and rail shipments, documenting operations, and supporting logistics and supply chain tasks. Serve as a cross-trained lead-level operator focused on safety, communication with growers/customers, and continuous process improvement.

Mix, haul, spread, and apply liquid and dry fertilizer and farm chemicals per labels and procedures; complete logs and paperwork; assist plant and delivery operations; provide customer service; perform physically demanding outdoor and indoor work with daily travel.

Maintain and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure. Administer AD, DNS, certificates, backups, patching, and Azure/AWS resources. Respond to incidents, support application teams, document changes, and participate in projects and automation to improve reliability and scalability.

Supervise daily grain facility operations including staffing, maintenance, safety, quality, inventory and budgeting. Train and evaluate team members, manage grain flows, track shrink/losses, and maintain food safety standards at food-grade sites.

Lead capital projects for an ethanol/renewables plant from concept through completion: prepare cost-effective project and electrical estimates, ensure code compliance, identify required equipment and resources, oversee layout and detail drawings, manage cost/schedule/functionality, evaluate asset risk/benefit, and serve as technical resource while coordinating with vendors and construction teams.

Lead and perform grain receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping tasks; monitor safety and quality; train new staff; perform data entry and act as supervisor in their absence.

Support sales growth by contacting prospective and existing agricultural customers, qualifying leads, and advancing opportunities. Use Salesforce/CRM to manage contacts and leads, collaborate with territory managers, agronomists, and marketing, handle sales reporting and contract updates, and respond to day-to-day customer needs. Work independently with strong communication and attention to detail; minimal travel required.

Provide end-to-end administrative support for commodity merchandising: enter contracts, manage contract folders, coordinate logistics for rail/truck/barge shipments, assist with invoicing/collections/payments, resolve customer shipment issues, and review receivables/payables requiring additional paperwork. Heavy data entry and advanced Excel use required.
