Supervise transport operations across designated areas, leading teams, enforcing safety and standard operating procedures, monitoring KPIs, improving processes, and resolving delivery issues. Supervise daily pickup and delivery freight operations at Hobart Airport, coordinating drivers, vehicles, forklifts, dockhands, and labor resources. Monitor service performance, productivity, DIFOT outcomes, fleet utilization, and route execution. Lead frontline teams, conduct safety briefings, ensure Chain of Responsibility and WHS compliance, resolve operational issues, and implement continuous improvements while maintaining safe, timely, and customer-focused service delivery.

Partners with operational leaders to provide commercial advice, deliver monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, analyze costs and performance drivers, develop business cases, and translate financial insights into practical recommendations. The role requires strong stakeholder management, commercial judgment, analytical capability, and the ability to influence decisions in a complex, fast-paced organization.

Loads and unloads freight, sorts and scans shipments, prepares dispatches, operates forklifts when required, maintains a safe warehouse, completes documentation, and supports depot operations and customer service in a part-time afternoon shift role.

Supports the Commercial and Sales teams through pipeline, forecasting, performance, customer, and tender reporting. Maintains CRM data integrity, develops Power BI dashboards and Salesforce enhancements, supports revenue forecasting and quarterly business reviews, and identifies improvements to sales processes and systems. The role translates data into actionable business insights while coordinating reporting, stakeholder communication, and commercial planning activities.

Supervise daily transport and fleet operations, coordinate drivers and delivery partners, allocate resources, monitor service performance, resolve operational issues, and maintain compliance with safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements. The role also manages driver performance, customer relationships, contingency vehicles, KPI reporting, scanning and proof-of-delivery compliance, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, fault find and repair high-speed automated conveyor and freight handling systems across multiple sites. Use MEX CMMS for maintenance tasks and reporting, support continuous improvement, minimise downtime, and travel regionally as required.

Lead and manage day-to-day administrative functions supporting freight and depot operations. Supervise an admin team, coordinate transport documentation, handle customer enquiries, maintain records and reporting, support process improvements, and promote safety and service excellence.

As a Compliance and Safety Specialist, you will ensure safety, compliance needs for the transport network, facilitate proactive service actions, and manage relationships with operators.
