A full-time, 10-week MC3 pre-apprenticeship readiness program for veterans and others exploring construction careers. Participants receive hands-on construction training, trade exploration, apprenticeship preparation, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, HAZWOPER, workplace communication, resume development, and interview preparation. Completion does not guarantee apprenticeship acceptance, employment, or placement.

Veterans CareerBridge is a grant-funded, hybrid career readiness program for veterans, military families, students, and recent graduates in Kern County. Participants complete two weeks of part-time professional development, receive employer matching and interview support, and may be selected for a full-time paid internship. Training covers resumes, LinkedIn, interviewing, communication, networking, and career planning. Internship placement and employment are competitive and may require on-site attendance, reliable transportation, or relocation.

Supports NAVAIR’s F/A-18 and EA-18G Fleet Support Team by planning and managing aircraft sustainment engineering projects. Responsibilities include developing project plans, schedules, staffing plans, specifications, technical studies, tests, status reports, and recommendations. The role coordinates cross-functional engineering and logistics teams, monitors project execution, resolves issues, manages scope and schedule changes, and serves as a liaison among stakeholders. A current Secret clearance and relevant bachelor’s degree are required.

Evaluate emerging dual-use technologies for technical maturity, feasibility, scalability, integration risk, and commercial or government applications. Provide technical input to investment and accelerator decisions, advise on product direction and roadmaps, support technology transition, and participate in reviews with leadership, industry, government, and innovation partners. The role leverages operational perspective, technical judgment, field experience, and mission-driven problem-solving to connect technical capabilities with real-world applications.

Supports NAVAIR and FRCSW by developing and maintaining configuration management systems, cybersecurity workflows, configuration baselines, controlled documentation, and lifecycle management for hardware and software. Maintains lab accreditation artifacts, change control records, network diagrams, incident reports, and related documentation. Collaborates with IT operations and uses Jira, SharePoint, Planner, Office 365, and Power Apps. Requires at least three years of configuration management experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree.
