Manage national customer accounts, develop strategic account plans, negotiate contracts, and drive profitable growth in energy and electrical markets. Identify and close new business, maintain sales forecasts, and build customer relationships. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver customer solutions. The role is primarily remote, with travel for customer engagement, trade shows, and internal meetings, plus regular visits to the Simcoe manufacturing facility.

Designs, programs, commissions, and supports automated fiber optic production equipment and processes. Responsibilities include Siemens PLC and controls programming, electrical schematic development, mechanical fixture design, equipment evaluation, troubleshooting, commissioning, documentation, parts procurement, and process improvement. The role collaborates across technical teams, supports project planning, and develops automation solutions that improve manufacturing quality, efficiency, and cost.

Develops and improves production methods, processes, machines, equipment, tooling, and plant layouts for copper and fiber cable manufacturing. Conducts feasibility studies, engineering investigations, cost analyses, statistical analysis, and production trials. Coordinates capital projects, vendor activities, automation initiatives, and cross-functional improvement teams. Prepares process specifications and documentation, troubleshoots production issues, supports safety and maintenance improvements, and collaborates with quality, production, design engineering, and maintenance teams.

Leads plant-wide operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable process improvements. Facilitates Kaizen, 5S, SMED, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, value-stream mapping, and Gemba activities. Uses ERP data, statistical analysis, visualization, and CAD tools to identify opportunities and develop solutions. Coaches plant personnel, leads complex improvement projects, creates operational excellence plans, and conducts audits to sustain results.

Prepare monthly financial schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, consolidation and management reports. Maintain chart of accounts, perform product cost and balance change analyses, prepare lease accounting under GAAP/IFRS, and support auditors and FP&A alignment.

Owns strategy, business planning, and lifecycle management for premises fiber and assembly product lines. Acts as strategic connector across product management, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. Supports Directors with financial analysis, business plans, sales enablement, training, metrics, competitive and market analysis, trade show support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supervise maintenance and automation activities in a manufacturing plant, plan and schedule repairs and installations, develop PLC/HMI/drive control programs, create preventive maintenance programs, standardize equipment operator interfaces, coordinate fabrication/modifications, train staff, troubleshoot machinery, and liaise with engineering, production, and quality to improve equipment reliability and reduce operating costs.

Designs and improves production methods, machines, tooling, automation and processes for wire and cable manufacturing. Conducts engineering studies, cost-reduction analyses, feasibility studies, equipment acquisition, plant layout, and process documentation. Works with Quality, Production, Maintenance and vendors to implement improvements, support trial runs, and ensure safety and specification control.

Manage the company tax function including federal, state, and local compliance; prepare tax provisions under ASC 740 and IAS 12; support planning, audits, and multi-state tax issues; partner with finance and external advisors to optimize tax position.
