GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for month-end closing (journal entries, reconciliations, reports), and account analysis. This person must be able to work independently and with little supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare and/or review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for quarterly audits
- Responsible for Chart of Accounts maintenance in general ledger system
- Responsible for Supplier master maintenance
- Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
- Consolidation and management reporting as a holding company
- Analyze trends and identify unusual transactions requiring investigation
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested
- Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related deliverables
- Assist a maintenance activity for company accounting policies
- Works closely with Treasury and FP&A department
- Provide cross-functional support based on situational needs

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in use of Microsoft Word
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 5 or more years as Senior Accountant in a medium to large sized organization
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- GAAP and IFRS experience are preferred
