Process Engineer supporting the design, execution, optimization, and technical assurance of process systems for major oil and gas capital projects. Responsibilities include process simulation, equipment capacity analysis, debottlenecking, process design basis development, P&ID and PFD preparation and review, PSV calculations, HAZOPs, model reviews, and EPC collaboration. The role is Calgary-based with periodic field travel to thermal operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Supports conventional heavy oil development by evaluating opportunities, optimizing capital deployment, preparing budgets and forecasts, conducting economic analyses, and maintaining long-term development plans. Leads reservoir management, drill readiness, well selection and scheduling, performance monitoring, and production or infrastructure optimization. Collaborates with reservoir, production, facilities, operations, and commercial teams to improve asset value and support reserves growth.

Leads operations at a Second Class-rated thermal production facility, ensuring regulatory, safety, asset integrity, production, and reliability compliance. Provides technical direction to shift engineers and operators, oversees steam generation, water treatment, production systems, staffing, procedures, training, troubleshooting, maintenance prioritization, KPI monitoring, and operational readiness. The role also administers TSASK requirements and supports startups, safety reviews, and new asset turnover.

Lead procurement and supply chain support for capital projects, including RFx creation, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, expediting, purchase and change order management, vendor compliance monitoring, procurement planning, stakeholder alignment, reporting, and mentoring junior analysts.
