Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation and electrical systems in a lumber mill using Allen-Bradley PLC5/SLC500/ControlLogix, VFDs, motion controllers, and instrumentation. Perform journeyman electrician duties, design and read schematics, support preventive maintenance, and collaborate with teams and vendors in a high-production, safety-focused environment.

Three-month rotational manufacturing internship for recent high-school graduates to gain hands-on sawmill experience across departments. Responsibilities include physical production tasks (pulling, stacking, packaging), observing maintenance and control systems, participating in mentorship, meeting production goals, and completing short projects. Program prepares interns for potential full-time entry-level roles at the site.

Trainee will learn to operate and maintain high-pressure wood-fired boilers and kilns, perform minor repairs, load kiln charges, manage moisture content, follow environmental compliance, clear ash, and collaborate with departments to improve operations and safety.
